I was wondering where is the compass at on the RX350 2012?
i know that on the navigation screen if I have it set to showing a company I can show half the screen being the road and the other half one big compass, however,
there is no compass on the dash board cluster readout or on the rear view merror
is not no actual compass for direction on the 2012 RX350 ?

2012 and later RX's without Navigation have an eight (8) character "N, NE,E, etc."
readout in the inside rearview mirror. Those with Nav have a compass display
in the upper left corner of the Nav screen. Tap on that display to change the
Nav screen from "North up" to "Heading up" orientation. Starting with the 2016
RX you can also select a Compass display in the Driver Information Display which
is between the Speedo and Tach.

i will send this to my dad and call him up and have him go over and try this
the only thing i was able to find when looking at the screen was the screen readout that allows you to decide what display you want to see when navi screen is on
and one was a big box that took up almost have the screen to show a Compass and the other side showed the map
i did see the left top corner has the N up option and non north up option that allows you to display what the screen direction is showing you when your driving but i didn't see anyting that said weather you where going N W S E or any other directions so doe sthe 2012 RX not read out anywhere like what direction you actualy going ?

The Nav screen display does not have the letters, they are in the rearview mirror but only on Non-Nav RX's
