Default Wireless key relay theft

Just saw this morning and got freaked out. I know that it's a Mercedes but does anyone know if Lexus is vulnerable to it also? Is Lexus doing anything about it as far as upgrades? Gonna need to find a lead box or move the keys far away from where the car is parked.

Yes, signal amplifiers (illegal black box) are real ... I read about it awhile back here.

There are several threads on CL regarding this topic like this one. It's not necessarily unique to the RX or other car manufacturers as you pointed out. I suggest following the recommendation to 'turn off' the remote.
