My understanding is ... it can happen only in case of emergency, but must be done with an attempt to get an approval from Lexus of USA.
Simple things like needing a battery will be reimbursed, but in all cases owner must contact closest dealership or Corp.
Keep in mind that warranty work is billed by the dealership to the Manufacturer for parts & labor.
