I have a 2013 RX 350. My problem is with the trunk door, so often it just beeps, then as if it is open just a little bit and closes again by itself, after that it only beeps a long beep but it doesn’t open at all unless manually opened from the button above the plate. This might happen anytime of the day, for example it opens normal with the remote or switch near the steering wheel and after sometime like 10 minutes or an hour I try it and the same problem comes back. However, It opens manually just fine. I still didn’t take it to the dealer, I searched and found some solutions but non worked for me. Those solutions were :

1) Disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds ( I did that and disconnect the Red plus plug ) problem still exists

2) Unlock all doors before pressing the trunk button, I did that and problem still exists



So I wonder if anyone faced the same problem or has an idea of the solution and how much it might cost

You may have a bad trunk door motor, it is probably time for the dealer to take a look at it. You should still be under warranty depending on when you got it and mileage.
