Default 2014 RX350 weird issue with iPhone7 fantom calls

After upgrading from iPhone6 to iPhone7 I started to experience weird issues with multimedia system stopping radio, showing the call screen with in-progress unknown phone call duration count. I can't dismiss this screen by pressing Hang-up button on the steering wheel. There are no calls happening on the iPhone at that time, but radio and navigation become completely unusable. The only way to stop this madness is to switch bluetooth on the iPhone7 Off and then On. It seems to happen randomly right after the car start in the garage or in the middle of the trip.

I don't think it is relevant that I have bluetooth beacon from StateFarm insurance that records the trip distance via iPhone and it is not connected to the car.

Anybody got a similar issue?

Haha, BIG BROTHER is watching you!! LOL😀😁😃

Seriously, I think you are getting some interference from that State Farm Bluetooth signal. You said that SF Bluetooth IS connected to the iPhone, right? Then you are trying to connect your iPhone to the car, right? Can the iPhone be connected to TWO different sources simultaneously? IDK?

One way to test it is to use another "virgin" phone that your SF Bluetooth had not seen before and connect that "virgin" phone to your Lexus and see if working fine.

How often do you turn your phone off? 90% of the time, these issues can be resolved by doing a hard reset on the phone. Try that and see if it fixes it. I've seen weird issues with iPhones that are never rebooted. Suggest you turn it off/on every few days to avoid issues.

I had the same issue with an iPhone 6s. It was happening in my 2013 RX350 with nav and in my 2002 Tundra without nav but with an aftermarket Alpine receiver. The problem seemed to disappear after the latest IOS update. My phone currently has IOS version 10.1.1. Since nothing else has been done to the cars or the phone I am guessing the software update fixed it.
