I would look at it, and if it's dirty, change it. Instructions are in your owner's manual. I change mine about every 20K.

Your fall leaves should have all dropped by now so this is a good time for the change. The cabin air filter can be bought at Walmart for $18, It is the Fram Fresh Breeze #10285 with carbon and baking soda to filter the air. Make sure your A/C is on recirculating before you change it. Takes about five minutes.

Just use common sense to see if it is dirty. I bought mine at dealer for $20+ , checked the YouTube and change it in 2 mins
