See clock without vehicle running
There are times when I'm cleaning my RX and I want to check the time and I don't have my phone. Is there a button I can press to see the time without the vehicle running? I've had this on other cars. Sometimes it's a dedicated button and sometimes it's the tuner button on the radio.

All you need do is push the Start button one time and you get clock (and radio if desired).
Double pump the Start button to work windows, moonroof etc. You would have to have a FOB with you of course, to make the vehicle do anything. When my wife goes into a store I just reach over from the passenger seat and hit the Start. Then I can enjoy some music and the clock shows me how much of life is being wasted away in a parking lot. |
Excellent, Thank you for your time Raoul.

Forgot to mention the third time you hit Start cycles everything off.
And if you don't a 'Battery Save' feature will shut it down after ten minutes. |
And if you hold the start button from the passenger side (without pressing on the brake pedal), the engine will start.
Nifty feature for passengers while the driver runs a quick errand. |

Nifty feature for passengers while the driver runs a quick errand. Now THAT is a good discovery. Thanks for the extra tidbit. |
This remind me of the older Honda's and Acura's which had this button... it was next to the clock and only for the clock.. momentary button to turn it on when car is off. this was in the late 80 to 90's.

The feature I use most often is turning off the car in neutral. This turns engine off and leave accessories on if you have passengers in the car.
