On a serious note:

Need to test it out to figure the best location ... maybe where the home-link logo is.
I hope there is no light straight out. Still looking for light spread picture.

Superb pics that realy helped........ The only thing i found was that none of the contacts on the multi plug were perminatly live with 12+ volts.
But luckly my car has a sunroof so i was able to pick up a perminate live there.

I installed the Car camera yesterday and tapped into a suitable supply on the moon roof connecter. I used a smalll 3amp DC-dc converter, checking the camera only draws 300ish mA @12v when running "full tilt",ie on and charging the internal battery. I fused the DC-DC converter with a 1amp inline fuse. The whole think was then covered in heat shrink and tape and then zip tied in position. All very neat!
I hope someone finds this useful if they are thinking of doing something similar

Gas gauge
You can lay a strip of tape on the background and mark it, but you have to remove the gauge cluster pull the binical and plug it back in to install the tape. That connector can be a real bugger. I found it easier to just snap a picture of it. Atleast, you will be able to see the gauge in the daylight.
