Default 2015 Visor slots

Can anyone help me figure out what those slots are in the front side of both sun visors? RX 350 2015--

Thanks,
Jim

It's just a holder for toll passes, parking permits/tickets, etc.

Our '11 has slots on the sun visors that aid in pushing the visor toward the rear when the visor is against the driver's window, for example, when the sun is on the side of your head. Not sure if it's the same slot you speak of.

Default Slot in visor?

2015 RX350.... looked in the manual, no mention of the slot in the visor. Read something here about it being a holder for parking tickets, etc., but on both sides? Also, the manual shows being able to clip it to the side, when it is swung against the drivers window, but I don't see any way to hold it there. Am I missing something?

JT4 - be careful with that use of the feature, an unscrupulous valet/mechanic could check out your Zip Code on the registration and use the Gas Card without your authorization...

Coffee Shop Drive-Thru reloadable gift card, can leave it inside all the time, no digging for cash or credit cards. No great value or hassle if taken...

Thanks for the heads-up, but I guess I should have been more clear. The debit card is never out of my posession. The only time I leave it in the slot is when I am in the RX on long trips when I know I'll be making several stops for gas. Otherwise the card comes with me, I never leave it in the RX unattended.

Yes, where do you keep your sun glasses in the 2014 Rx 350? Your wife's purse?

I read somewhere its to keep your valet/parking lot ticket. I use it when I go through a drive through or gas station to quickly hold my credit card.

Hi Everyone. You're all wrong! : ) When the sun is coming from the left, with the sun visor against the driver's door window, use that plastic slot to push the sun visor rearward to block the sun. It's on page page 408 of the '11 RX owner's manual. Also, it's under Sun Visors in the alphabetical index at the back.
Our Highlander has a modified version of this feature too.
Ray A.
PS My wife uses the slot for a gate key card too.

I think you confused the picture showing that the visor can be slid backwards (which only coincidentally shows the slot), with the picture of the vanity mirror cover being opened (which is on the other side of the visor). It doesn't say anything about using the slot to actually pull the visor backwards.
