Default Ventilated seat fan location

Does the RX have only two fans per seat?

At first I thought 2 fans out of 4 (as I was expecting them to be) are dead. But unless the passenger seat has the same defect, I think each seat only has two fans. Which in itself is not a biggie, but they are also poorly placed, only hitting your lower thigh and upper back (red sections).
I understand the cost cutting, but I don't understand why they weren't placed in the yellow areas where your lower back and buttocks are - that's where most of the weight and heat is .

Can anyone confirm? Also, is the GS the same?

Set the air outlets to just feet and the ventilated seats become more slightly more effective

Thanks for the link. So, yeah, just two fans per seat and both poorly placed. I'm wondering if the 2016 RX continues this "tradition".

This is exactly what I've done since I read this thread. It helps somewhat.

I have to try that mod later today. I'm coming from a 2005 ES330 and the fan blows better than the RX. At first, I thought my fan had gone out because there was so little air movement. Turns out, all the 3RX I've looked at were the same. The lowest setting in the ES was probably the same as the RX's highest.

You can take your back mats and bend them up against the drivers seats which helps keep the air from flowing through and improves the seat ventaliation a little bit....not very impressed with the "cooling " option...
