Default How to know RX is AWD

I searched but did not find anything. This is a stupid question but I will be looking to buy a used 2013+ RX and want to ensure I get AWD. My question is other than someone telling me it has it, how do I ensure it does?

I do not see any AWD emblems etc. that some manufacturers use. Do I have to look underneath for driveshafts to the rear wheels?

Thanks

Easy way is to look for the button to lock all 4 wheels on the center console

If you're shopping online and don't have good interior pics but, have the VIN,
I believe the forth position is the identifier.
B = AWD
G = FWD

(This info is kind of shaky, would need some confirmation from other members)

If you want to really get down and dirty, take a peak underneath. And, just look for a driveshaft.

Default Verifying AWD....

Best way to verify all-wheel drive [AWD] is to LOOK under the back of the vehicle & see that there is a rear differential between the two back wheels. This device will look like a large, rounded "bump", normally centered between the rear wheels. It should be clearly visible from outside & underneath the back of the vehicle looking forward.

Lexus & Toyota front-wheel drive [FWD] vehicles do NOT have a rear differential. There is only some steel framework in the back used to connect & support the rear wheels -- not drive them!

Thank you very much. I totally forgot about the 4 wheel lock button and I will probably just take a quick peak underneath at the rear also.
