Default Tool Bag?

The manual shows a tool bag in an open rectangular space next to the towing eyelet where jack is stored under the cargo floor. My dealer checked several cars on the lot and none of them have a tool bag there. Did anyone get a tool bag with their RX?

The compartment next to the towing eyelet on my 2015 RX was bare.

We've been flim flammed !

I want the Chinese pliers and screwdriver I was promised in the owners manual !

I smell a Class Action suit.

My tool kit has a small pair of pliers, a phillips head screwdriver, and two small open end wrenches. No idea what they are for. I can't imagine that they are for anything related to changing a tire, but I'm not going to change a tire myself, as long as I have the Lexus Roadside Assistance.

The pictures and description are on page 898 of my 2013 RX 350 manual.

I just talked to my good service adviser, Daniel. He said the pliers are to remove battery cables if you need to, and the wrenches are for the 10/11 mm bolts.

Curiosity got the best of me. Flipped up the spare cover in my wife's car. Small vinyl pouch in there, didn't retrieve it to have a look inside.

I am fairly certain I have a tool bag with some basic tools.
My IS also came with tools. They come pretty handy when in a pinch, especially 10mm wrench.

I never look in there so I went to the garage. There is a first aid bag on the right side held by velcro. Inside are some good stuff for first aid. I lifted the cover. On the left side is a small plastic bag with some some tools e.g. small plier, open wrenches. They look pretty cheap. There is also an inch bolt threaded on one end. I am not sure what this is for. I suspect it has something to do with towing? There is also a complicated looking jack which I will investigate later in the day.

Lol. It is more like japanese tools but they look so cheap I tend to agree with you that it is chinese made.

pretty much everything in your first aid kid will be expired and need to be replaced.

My tool bag and first aid kit are there... Still have the one for the GS as well.

Checked in our 2010 RX350. Tool kit was in the forward LH corner as picture in OMM shows. Certainly not Snap-On tool quality but would do in a pinch.

10 MM is probably the most popular wrench size on Japanese cars. This is the first size to be lost from your metric wrench set. Murphy's law.

When i was a kid the definition of cheap said "Made In Japan". How times change.

I checked my '13 RX and lo and behold there is a small toolkit there. Never knew it. I also don't know how the tow eyelet is used. Have to check manual.
