Default Cup holder lid removal

Anyone ever tried to remove the sliding lid to the cup holder. Larger cups don't fit well because they rub it. Or does anyone torn apart the console to give me a starting point

Are you referring to the center console cup holders? Beside the remote touch?( mouse).
I don't remember any sliding lid.
But if you mean the separator for the cup holders, you can easily pull it out.

Looks like the entire assembly comes out as a unit. Once out I'd guess removing the lid would be an easy job.

Before you start taking your car apart, you might want to look at the accessory cup holder extensions. These are items that fit into the cup holder and then stick up above it and hold larger cups or two cups. It might solve your problem.

I would hate to add anything to the console height. I think removal is a better option for me

The doors or cup holder on the dash don't provide a better option than tearing apart your console? Seems a bit extreme to be that dedicated to a Big Gulp.

Buf if you're that determined the Sewell diagram above will show you the way. LIkely have to remove the entire center console to get to the cup holder unit. once out, shouldn't be that hard to figure out how to disassemble.
