Samsung Galaxy S4 email and texts
Is it possible to listen to email and/or texts from my smart phone on the navigation speakers? If so how doe one do it. I have a 2013 RX 350.

Texts and RX
We have a 2014 RX with Nav etc. We have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and once it pairs with the RX anyone texting it pops up on the Nav screen and ask if you want to play it; click play and it reads the text and also has several responses that you can click on for responding and you can change the responses to suit your tastes for future responses.

I have paired my phone to my 2013 RX and I have made phone calls and have listened to my music on the car's speakers OK; I have never received a text while in the car. DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FURTHER TO HEAR TEXTS IN THE FUTURE?

We never did anything but just pair the phone and ensured data transfer when asked . I would take it to your dealer and see if there is a software update or this feature is only on the 2014's. Sorry can't help but ours does it automatically. One thought but not sure that it is related...do you have texting on your phone plan?

Be aware that it will play the text only when you are not on a phone call. It will interrupt music or radio to play text, not sure about navigation. Also, I don't know if it can read emails.

Arrange a meeting with your dealership's Lexus Technology Specialist. It is their job to go over items such as this with purchasers and their services are supposed to be free of charge. They will work with you, your vehicle and your personal tech items to get things running as they should or at least tell you why they are not working as you hoped.
