RX 350 2010 harsh ride!
OK all. I replaced the shocks and struts with that Japanese y brand -that helped!- then I soundproofed the doors and aft wheel well and aft areas-that helped too - weight in back like driving with a fuller tank also helped- still have harsh aft ride using 30psi in tires- going to get some lead weights to put aft of the spare tire . Does anyone know if the HD hitch option which I have has a different spring? Do recent springs in back have different parts numbers for theis 3rd GEN ? How can one identify a F-sport option? Was it avaialable in 2010? I'm thinking softer springs might also help---,question is how to get ones that work??? Help!

I think you have done about all that you can by yourself. If you have 19" rims, a switch to 18" will help. But, before I loaded my car down with lead weights, I would visit a good suspension shop and see what they think. If you can find a private shop that markets specifically to Lexus, that might be a good start. Adding too much weight outside the axles is a very bad idea. You "might" get a softer ride, but you will also wind up with a tendency for instability under sudden/emergency maneuvers.

My car is a 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera S with 20" rims and PASM (adjustable suspension that I generally keep in soft mode, unless at a track event).
Now I'm here to tell y'all that my wife's 2015 RX350 with 19" rims has a ride that is mushy and wallowy. Marshmallow-like comes to mind. The RX350 is not very capable when it comes to sporty driving...
I've also owned both a Cayenne GTS and a Macan Turbo, both of which had 21" rims. Both Porsche SUVs have much more capable suspensions than the RX350, with no sacrifice in enjoyment. They were nothing but extreme pleasure to drive. There is nothing stiff or tough about the ride of an RX350 with 19" rims.

PeakyTop did you take a test drive? Your old RX330 probably had worn softer softer shocks/struts. The RX350 is a bit stiffer, but still very mushy and you will get used to it, or trade it for something else.

Does it have aftermarket wheels/tyres or is it riding on the factory wheels/tyres combo? Perhaps if you have very large wheels and low profile tyres, this would be the reason for the rough ride.
Is this an F-Sport or "regular" model? I have avoided F-Sport models because I've found the suspension setup on them too stiff for my expectations of a boulevard cruiser.

I have been let down by the ride quality.
I guess it is a function of a small wheel base and SUV set up.
Hard to get around that.
The other issue is that the car rattles a lot which makes the ride seem rougher than it really is.
I found that my jack was banging around in the way back.
I put pads under it.
I also lay down the middle armrest seat thing in the back seat (the whole middle seat not just the arm rest).
That thing rattles a lot and is quieted by opening it.

My opinion, FWIW: The RX's suspension is based on the Toyota Camry, which also does NOT have a "luxury car ride" as it was never designed to be a luxury car. I imagine that Lexus engineers may have been able to provide a smoother ride, but then there would have been complaints about a floaty ride that makes passengers sick. What they SHOULD have done is provide an adjustable ride switch like those found on Toyota's Touring models, or some of Lexus high-end luxury cars. But, that may have exceeded the price-point they were trying to hit.
Personally, I don't mind the ride at all. The RX is responsive and corners relatively well, which I value highly. You always need to take a very long test drive before buying any vehicle. My test drive is a 30 mile loop that has everything: Freeway @ 75 mph, curvy mountain two-lane, and some city streets. I have decided not to buy several vehicles after driving this loop.
BTW- Our 2015 RX doesn't rattle.

There are only a few aftermarket strut & shock sources and all offer conventional products. You may find something more exotic at some of the Japanese sites.
I wonder if the thread founder, who, as it is his first thread may follow the first post pattern of never posting again, and did not identify the years and miles on his RX, has leaky rear shocks.
