I went from a 2010 RX350 to a 2015 RX350 F Sport and yes the 2010 was a bit softer and floaty but even my 15 i would not describe as stiff or hard

I agree, I even put sport suspension shocks on the rear of my 2010 and still think it rides okay. Of course I used to have a MINI Cooper so anything is an improvement.
OEM shocks are Tokico. Changing tires will also make a big difference in ride. Go the to the www.tirerack.com site and ask their consultants which tires have the softest ride.

That is the opinion of the folks who have installed the KYBs in the rear. The rear shocks are easy to install. Any mechanic can do both in less than an hour. Order a set from Rock Auto and take them to your local gas station or independent for installation. It is that easy. 2 bolts.
It is the front struts that involve a lot of labor and a spring compressor and an alignment afterward. The good thing is changing your rear shocks will usually do more to improve the ride.

Thanks!
If my back wasn't all messed up I'd do it myself.

I recall someone on the Saabnet Forum mentioning that they put 45 pound weight in the spare tire well of their 2000 9-3 in order to improve the ride quality.
Do you think that idea could work on the RX350?
Would it have a smoothing out effect?

Easy to test, just throw 45 pounds of weight back there and drive around. Either a plate or bag of fertilizer or sand. I do think it may ride a bit softer when there is a lot of cargo in the rear.

I put about 150lbs in the wayback and it rides smother over choppy bumps (like a bunch of 3in frost heaves all bunched up together)
You can still access the spare tire but it would be a PITA if you had to, but when is the last time that happened?
