Default First Mod to our RX

The first modification to our 2014 RX350.

I was a bit surprised to find 3 of the valve stems did not have a cap and the fourth had a plastic cap.

These feel heavy and look good, at least right out of the package.

$8.69 from Amazon.com including shipping. Mine were from La Luna and I don't see them listed now. (I have seen that when there are multiple sources for an item on Amaxon.com quality can vary greatly from source to source.)

The caps came with an allen wrench and set screws which I did not install.

Wow, nice! Really! So nice that they'll wind up on some kids bike soon. Maybe the set screws aren't a bad idea.

We'll see how long they last. The RX is in a garage at night but in a lot when my wife is at work and of course when we are traveling. I don't want to use the set screws as I'd need to add air and not have the wrench.

I've had the same ones for almost a year and pleased with them but make sure to add a tiny amount of lube inside the threaded area. Another CL member had to replace his TPMS sensors due to these caps rusting out.

Thanks for that recommendation. I'll take care of that tomorrow.
