2013 RX350 Audio System
Hi all,
I recently leased a new 13RX350. Something I find really annoying is switching the radio between FM/AM/XM. When I press "mode" on the steering wheel to change from one frequency to the next, the pre-set stations do not follow. What is I mean is if i am listening to XM Radio, and then I press "mode" to switch to FM and want to press the up/down to change the channel, I still get the XM Radio channel. The pre-set list does not change to FM and its such a hassle having to use the control console and scroll up 6 lists of pre-sets to get to FM. I'm wondering why Lexus did not make this more intuitive?

My 2013 RX350 also has the same problem as wchen. It is so frustrating to find your preset stations by using the mode and the up and down on the steering wheel. I also get the satellite presets when I am listening to FM when I push the up and down. I'd like to know if this is service problem or is it operator error. Also, I am not subcribing to XM Satellite and would like to remove all traces of it in the audio system. Is this possible.

Lexus designed it to where your presets can be a mixture of whatever you want them to be. They aren't set up to have 6 for FM, 6 for AM, etc. They can be mixed and matched according to how you like them. If you want to seperate them, I would suggest having page 1 as FM, page 2 as XM, etc.

I do separate them as I like an organized look. However, it is still a hassle when switching from FM to AM, etc. They should have designed the system so that changing frequencies/modes on the steering wheel would also change to the corresponding set of pre-sets. It just seems more logical to me that way.

I too found XM switching to be very annoying, as I always hit the track up/down button and ended up in FM. Trial period expired, so no more XM and no more problem. Only that I haven't figured a way to get rid of unwanted sources, such as AM, FM and XM.
