I got my 450h last month and the dealer wanted $300 for Lexus color matched side moldings, the same as in your pic. They wouldn't come down on the price but I did get the side moldings, crossrails and a Lexus hitch installed instead. Wish I had of thought to move them foreword so if I want to add edge guards in the future it would be ready.

Bought mine last month too and got the BSM for $175 extra. They said Lexus now carry them unpainted and salesman said they had to paint them to match. They look great. I also got the AutoBahnd (extra $560). When they they traded with another dealer to find the option package I wanted, it also came with door edging and rails.

Got both the Side moldings and the Edge guard from Sewell . Tip a body shop man $20 to put them on for me.

Got to love that Matador Red Mica. That was my first choice but it's unfortunately not offered in the 2013 model year.

Sharp look.

I've requested the molding on the front doors to be shifted toward car front about 1/8" extra so I could install edge guard afterward. All worked out very well, and looks good. Then I also added mudguards and side window deflectors to complete the exterior appearance.
Nicely played.

i found my side moldings on ebay, slightly cheaper than Sewell..less than $100 shipped from another Lexus dealership. I won't mention the seller because they are not listed vendors on the forum.

Can you pm me the link please? Are they pre-painted? I should have been more specific, it seems the 1GO SGM is discontinued on Sewell.

EDIT: Found them, thanks for the heads up.

UGH EDIT x2

Q: Do you have these for a 2011 Lexus rx450H in Smoky Granite Mica?
A: unfortunately those are discontinued.

WTF

Anyone have any addiitonal information on why 1G0 would be discontinued specifically?

Not sure myself, i did order 1G0 and it took me a while to track them down. I'm guessing the popularity of the color itself. Compared to the other colors available, they are not exactly 1G0 matching as the factory paint, more of a satin finish but more so accents the body paint perfectly in my opinion.
If i couldn't find it , i was going to order in white, strip it down and order 1G0 from Sherwin Williams Auto in a single stage aerosol can.

Weird though that these are dealers that are saying the color is discontinued (versus out of stock).

I just saw them on ebay from a lexus oem parts dealer for 92 dollars, with no tax. How difficult to install them yourself??

Install directions suggest plus 60 degrees. I thought I'd have to wait 'til spring since I live in MA, but last week we had a plus 50 and sunny day, so I put my stargazer black car outside to soak up the sun and got the moldings on. So far, so good.
I'm thinking to putting them on my new RX350. It already has door edge guards, so can it be applied with these already on the vehicle? If so, how difficult?

Much of the following thread will be of interest, however, post #4 I believe answers your question for you:

Surprisingly, i always have a parking spot.. and exercise.
i chuckle everytime i see drivers waiting idle 5-15 minutes for a parking space that is SO near where they're going.
Same hear. I park far away from everything and get great exercise. But I do like the look of the door guards. Adds something. All parking spaces should be at least a foot bigger.
