How do you change the cabin air filter in the 2013 450H?

Default Cabin Air Filter-2012RX DIY

Anyone know how to change the cabin air filter on a 2012 RX350? They seem to have changed the glove compartment screw access from past years and I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Are you talking about the screw that holds the glove compartment door in place?

If so, you don't have to remove it to replace the cabin air filter. I just changed mine the other day with no problems.

Default Here you are... did it last weekend

There's no need to unscrew anything. Open the glove compartment and you'll see the shelf, and behind it, an L-shaped shiny plastic cover. The cabin air filter sits behind that L-shaped shiny plastic cover. So, remove the shelf by pulling UP on the free-standing end, then pull OUT (to the left) the end attached to the wall of the glove compartment. Then slide up the L-shaped cover and you'll see the cabin air filter cover. Pull the cover towards you and it'll come out easily. Then pull out the filter. No tools needed.

EDIT: And I forgot to mention that the A/C must be in recirculation mode. Follow RX330inFL's link above for instructions. The instructions appear to be for a 2013 model but I vouch it's the same for a 2012. Good luck!
