rayaans, congrats on the DA. I won one in a contest here right before I picked up the 450h. It's ridiculously easy to use. Next detail, much delayed due to the cold spring and now ridiculous pollen, will take place in a few weeks. Just wondering if I should borrow a Rupes from one of the CL vendors and save the DA for the tailgate.

Make sure you post pictures of the results. Your RXh always looks great.

Well this ins't quite "right now!" since we just got back from a 2300 mile road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, but I thought it would be close enough. Our poor baby got a much needed bath today. We now have all of 4100 miles on the odometer since January.

Here is our RX450h with a few tall mountains( the Tetons) behind it.

While at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, we had a big thunderstorm move over us and decide to let got a lot of rain. That was actually good because our poor Lexus was somewhat dirty by that point. You can see the rain coming down....instant clean(er) Lexus!

Next up was a steam bath at one of the hot springs - this was early in the morning, so the lighting (for car pictures) wasn't so great.

In Yellowstone we saw a few animals, of course. We always gave them the right-of-way. Some of the bison were almost as large as our Lexus! We saw one car try to pass one too close and it bucked at the car (just to express its displeasure and to intimidate the driver I think). If it had carried through, I have no doubt it could have overturned the small car.

The baby bison were cute - I think they had been born a week or two earlier.

When the traffic gets all jammed up in Yellowstone, they name it by the type of animal - here is a bison jam. Note the size of this bull compared to the car!

If it was a bear, people just stop anywhere, including the middle of the road, and get out of their cars.

^^^ Holy!!! You don't want to hit one of those behemoths! I looked up their weights. An adult bison can weigh 3500 lbs!

They are huge! And those horns are not just decorations - they use them. Just hook it into a car door, give a little head flip, and car goes rolling down the hill. If not, they could just butt it with their heads....

Like those wheels, mailman 65

Ernie, great pictures. It looks like you had a fun time. You're not kidding about those bison. Average adult size is like 10-12 ft. high And yes, the babies are cute but still enough to do some serious damage. I'm glad you (and the 450h) made it out of there unscathed.

We gave them plenty of room. If cleaning the car with a dirty cloth scratches the paint, imagine what a bison can do! Besides, the conversation with the Insurance Agent would be, ummm, interesting. IA, "How did this damage occur?" Me, "I was slowly going along the road and this pissed off bison just charged and smashed the whole side of the Lexus." IA, "Your car is totaled, you know. I'm not sure our coverage insures against Bison charges."........

Here are two pictures of the bugs that smashed into our poor, dirty RX450h. It took us several hours to carefully clean the car inside and out after we got back.

Our RX (silver) facing a bit older RX with a like minded owner - park on the roof away from as many other cars as possible.

I use WD-40 and a micro-fiber cloth to get the bug guts off quickly, However, the WD-40 leaves a film which must be removed with good-ol' soap & water or the local car wash.
