I have an iPhone 4S that connects to the car fine. The problem is that it randomly drops bluetooth during a call. It does repair after random periods of time. My only guess is the phone because the iPhone 4 I just traded in never had this issue. I have tried deleting the pairing from both the car and phone without any help. Anyone had this happen before. If not I guess I will go for a replacement phone from Verizon.

The random problem I have with the 4s is that it shifts from car speaker to phone speaker and back every so often, guess that may be what you are describing.

Sometimes if my wife is near in her running car, her car will steal my phone.

I will have to see if mine goes to speaker. I hadn't noticed

To be clear, the speaker by the ear, not the one at the bottom of the iPhone.

I just got an iPhone 4S for Christmas. It paired right up with my bluetooth; have had no issues with it so far.
I have a 2010 RX. I'm loving the blutetooth audio so I can stream my internet music also.

Have you tried turning Siri off to see if it somehow might be effecting bluetooth. This is the current bandaid Verizon proposed.

I'll try to track my infrequent problem and then see if disabling SIRI helps reduce or eliminate the problem.

I believe I have IOS 6. That was an update notice that came up on my iPhone the day after I got it.

I have the Iphone 4S and my calls will go back and forth from car bluetooth to the Iphone. The 2012 RX350 will show call disconnected and then the person will be on the Iphone, then a few seconds later it flips back to the car bluetooth. Very frustrating, has anyone found an answer?

My friend just took her 2012 RX350 to the dealer for the same issue. she also has the iphone 4s. They needed to do an update that came up at the beginning of 2013. problem is fixed. i recomend you do the same.

Could you find more out about what exactly the update was. Was it a navigation software update? or an update to what?

Yeah...that happens to us regularly. We both have iPhones (4, 4S). I believe there is supposed to be a priority sequence it connects via BT but it seems to be random as to which one of us it picks if we're both in the vehicle.

The Dealer just replaced my radio/Nav system and it is doing the same thing. I tried turning off Siri and it didn't change anything. My iPhone 4S is with Verizon.
