Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered, and TeleNav's Scout which Toyota will be using is not yet implemented.

2012 non-navi looks like this:

And 2013 non-navi looks like this:

There would be more luck with the latter considering the quality of the screen.

For 2012, you may want to check out VAIS Tech:

Thanks to all who responded.

I also got a response from Lexus -

Thank you for contacting Lexus Customer Satisfaction. There is not a way to connect your iPhone to your 2012 RX 350 to view navigation. Please be advised, you may be able to listen to the navigation prompts through Bluetooth if you are paired on your phone and vehicle.
Modifications which deviates from the Lexus manufacturer's original specifications will void the Lexus warranty. Lexus as the manufacturer, does not recommend the use of after market parts/accessories in or on our Lexus vehicles. We have not tested after market parts/accessories, therefore, we do not have comprehensive information on how they may affect the operation of your vehicle. Please refer to your Owner's Manual Supplement for more detailed warranty information.

If you require further assistance, please respond to this email, or contact Lexus Customer Satisfaction at 1-800-255-3987, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Pacific Time.

Calling Lexus is an utter waste of time. They're so high up in CYA that no such technology will be allowed to exist.
Just imagine the lawsuits that will follow from Toyota drivers that have no idea how to put a car in N if it happens to accelerate unexpectedly.
Most OEM functions are blocked while driving, which gets very frustrating, particularly when you have a passenger ready to alter the destination.

My Audi does has no block-outs while moving (except movies), which is just fine by me.
