Default New MY13 RX450H F-Sport AWD

Hi all, I'm new here so be gentle please!

Picked up my new car on Saturday. It's replacing a BMW E60 Touring, I was planning on getting an F10 Touring this time (535D), but then changed my mind and chose the Lexus for a couple of reasons.

In the UK we seem to get a few different things to the USA as standard and optional extras (we get AWD as standard, but can't get Lexus Enform ), so here's the full spec of it as I don't know specifically what the differences are:

Front and rear electric windows
Privacy glass
Windshield wiper de-icer

Auto door locking with double door lock
Smart entry and start system
Cruise control
Leather steering wheel with audio, telephone, cruise control and multi-function switches
Leather gear stick
Leather upholstery with 8-way electrically adjustable heated front seats
Memory function for driver's seat, steering wheel and exterior mirrors
Front and rear armrest
40:20:40 split, slideable and foldable rear seats
LED interior illumination
EPS (Electric Power Steering)
Illuminated entry system
Separate driver/passenger temperature controls
Dual zone climate control with clean air filter and pollen removal mode
Dark grey gloss trim
Electrochromatic rear view mirror
Driver and front passenger 2-stage airbag
Driver and front passenger knee airbag
Drive and front passenger TAP (Thorax Abdomen Pelvis) extended side airbags with head protection
Rear passenger side airbags
Curtain shield airbags
Front passenger airbag cut-off switch
ISOFIX attachment (rear seats)
Seatbelt pre-tensioners (front and rear)
WIL (Whiplash Injury Lessening) front seats
Bluetooth® connectivity
Optitron display with ECD (Electrochromatic Device - auto dimming)
Auxiliary and USB port
Multi-information display in centre instrument cluster
9-speaker audio system with in-dash, single-slot 6-CD autochanger

Wow, beauty. I just submitted a post on whether I should get the F-Sport and if someone has pics on a black or Nebula Grey. Thanks, you made my day. Love the black F-Sport! Looks mean. I think this is my favorite color.

Nice post, Westy. Great-looking ride. Thanks for the pics.

One other thing you all get is the opportunity to get both F Sport and hybrid. In North America the two can't be combined.

Now if only your steering wheel was on the other side...

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the great photos.
If your AFS lights still auto dim and swivel, you've very lucky as that has been dropped from the U S packages. I have them on my 2010 and like them so much it's keeping me from even thinking of trading. But I really don't need to as basically the biggest difference is cosmetic (Spindle grill and LED running lights). They are starting to finally grow on me .

Nice pics and nice car dear Westyfield.
Hope you will enjoy it whatever the elements and wheather conditions.

I have the same double led on my 2010 RX450h (french model and equipped with different package I assume compared with US or UK packages).

Cosmetic changes sund good but mine is still very pleasant to look at and apparently there are various options which have disappeared since previous models !

Thanks all for the welcome .

I didn't know that you can't get the F-Sport trim level on the hybrid in North America! I've just had a quick search and apparently another difference is that you get steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters that we don't get. Also here on CL I can see a few threads talking about removing standard fitted roof rails... whereas I'll probably be trying to get a pair fitted!

I've only done 100 miles in it so far, but I'll probably be flooding the forums with newbie questions shortly!

@hybridlexy: The configuration tool on the Lexus UK website should show most of it apart from the towbar cost... though I believe roughly speaking it's just the same number with the $ symbol swapped to Ł .

@Cruiter: Yep, the lights swivel when cornering . Not sure what you mean by auto dim though? Because this is my first Lexus I can't say I'm really clued up on what the differences on the MY13 to the previous years were!

@rayaans: I'm from Bath. I thought about the Mark Levinson speakers, but figured that the upgrade system that F-Sport comes with would be sufficient for me. From what the dealer told me though, the Mark Levinson system is really good and if you're an audiophile you'll really like it! All I really need is DAB radio for the cricket . When clearing out the glovebox of my BMW I discovered the six-CD changer that I'd specified on it but never actually used!

I'm amazed they put all that in one. Personally, I like the features your car has, but I'm still not sold on the hybrid portion. We just got a loaded starfire F Sport last weekend. Very happy with the car!
