Has anyone considered getting Vredestein Quatrac 3 SUV tires for an RX? I saw a lot of reviews on the Europian sites and people are saying this tire has a superb wet and snow handling. The latter is something that is crucial for me as during the winter I spend every other weekend skiing in WV and PA and the roads there could be harsh. It does not rain a lot in DC area in the summer time but when it does, I figured having a tire that can effectively deal with aquaplaning would not hurt, too. Their treadlife is at 40,000 miles mark, most probably a trade off to make a tire softer and thus more suitable for driving in winter.

Other tires I am considering are Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season, Yokohama AVID ENVigor, Michelin Lattitude Tour HP but I am inclined towards Quatracs and unless I hear something bad about them, I will try and buy them.

Any thoughts/comments are welcome! My RX is 2010 AWD.
