Default Underground parking lot damage to car question

Hello all, so as I pull the parking ticket from the machine and the pole style arm lifts completely in a vertical position I proceed to pass through. As I am passing through the arm breaks at the pivot point on its own and hits the "A pillar" on my car. The manager tries to insist that I'm the one who hit the arm first and then the arm fell down and hit my car. I just told the manager "how can that be possible when there is no other damage on my brand new 2 week old car besides this dent on the A pillar caused by your badly maintained equipment?" By the way, this was a a Hilton hotel. In the case that the parking lot insurance won't take care of me and the hotel won't take care of me, should I go through my own insurance? Can this damage even be taken out with a paintless dent removal repair? Can anyone give me any advice on how to approach this situation?

I would try to fix it through paintless dent repair. I suspect the cost will be below your insurance deductible. With the bill for the repair in hand, try to get a reimbursement from the garage.
