2013 RX350 driver's side mirror

For all the owners of a 2013 RX 350.

Do you notice the driver's side mirror vibrate or shake a lot more while driving on some bumpy roads and freeways?

Compared to the passenger side which is pretty stable and to a 2012 RX 350 which is stable too.

Thanks

FWIW, I do not have any problem with my 2013 RX450h. Mirrors are rock solid.

Mine are rock solid also. you must have a loose mirror; probably made in CANADA.....lololol

Easy there, we don't want to offend our Canadian friends.

I noticed the mirror on the driver side vibrates too. I removed it to replace the puddle lamps sometime ago and probably didn't push it back in hard enough. You might want to try doing that yourself to see if it makes any difference. It's held on by long metal clips. If not, bring your RX to the dealer to have them take care of it. Good luck.

You'll want to take it in and make them tighten it up! That would drive me crazy!

I have a 2010 and it vibrates like crazy. Its so annoying.

My RX 350 is made from Japan - my vin # begins with a J not a 2.

Also I did have the dealer look at it and it is a slight vibration and it is on all the 2013.
They said it was normal. But the passenger side is solid though.

Next time I'll ask them to swap out the metal clips.

Does this seem ridiculous to anyone but me??

This is the same standard response I got when I asked them why my heated seats never got warm enough on my 2010. They said it's within spec/tolerance. Really? Can you show me a spec that says it's OK for your mirror to rattle? How UN-Lexus like!

To me that just says "We don't want to have to spend the time or expense to fix it". Try a different dealer.

Woodrow,
The heated seats on our '04 Toyota Sienna XLE minivan were a complete joke. However, they're just fine on my '08 RX400h. Go figure.

Sometimes I need to bring it back like 2 to 3 times and then they escalate it to their "Black Team".
Another thing is to call Lexus Corporate and file a complaint then the dealer will step up to the plate.

They're good in our new RX450h, too! My wife checked during the test drive before we bought it. :D Heated seats are important in Colorado in the winter!

Also, the mirrors on our 2013 are very solid.

Mine is being replaced because of scratch where it swivels but

I see it is looser than right side as well. Will ask them to pay attention to tightness of the new one.

Just took delivery of a 2013 RX 350 with 22 kms on the odometer. Drivers side mirror does shake and will definitely be taking this back to the dealer to address. What a pain. Otherwise, love this one over my 2010 model. still a great car.

My guess:
The left mirror (driver side) is normal magnification, meaning it is very blurry when there are shakes and rattles, the passenger side mirror is wide viewing type, objects appear smaller than it is, so they are not sensitive to shakes and rattles.

It is the same as a camera when viewing wide angle and at high zoom with your same hands.
