ok so i just picked up new rx350 and ct200h today and this evening when pulling them into the garage i noticed that when i opened the door on the rx the interior lights did not turn on no dome light no interior lights at all. the first thing i do is look around for the door/switch up by the dome light front ceiling and checked it looked like it was set off so i pressed it in which leaves it depressed and tested still no interior lights when doors are opened. i turned off the door switch and tested still no lights. i manually switched on the lights and both the front and rear domes turn on fine. i also can confirm that the door sensors seem to be working fine since if i have a door open and the car is running i get the ding and notice on the console.

So my question is why would the dome lights not recognize that they should turn on when the door is opened...doesn't matter front, rear, or hatch no dome lights.

please excuse any puncuation/spelling issues as i am using an ipad.

any auggestions/help is greatly appreciated.

ok scratch that whole post evidently depressed is off and not depressed is on...and it must respond differently if the car is running because i just checked it again and was able to get dome lights to switch on and off with the door when the car is not running.
back to figuring out all the tech in this car so far i love it.

Josh, welcome to the forum. Wow!!! You jumped in with both feet .

Yep, you now have to high tech machines. I love my 450h and now we have someone here that can keep us informed on the pro/cons of both (should be mostly pro I'm sure). It's just me driving now but if I needed two cars I'd be looking at a CTh for a 2nd driver as well.

Congratulations on getting the new 2013. It looks great. If you don't mind me asking did you trade something in or did you buy it out right? Did Sewell at least give you Kelly Blue Book on your trade? I just tried to trade locally for a 2012 and the dealer wouldn't give me BB price though my 2010 is perfect. The reason being is that they could get them cheaper at auction.
