2013 +$4,000 over a 2012 is it worth it?

RE: AFS,
I was not even aware they had dropped it on the 2013 model. Good thing it came up here.
It's probably somewhat of a novelty to have them, but not only are they cool, they are actually very effective. The road in the development to my house is a long uphill sweeper, and having those lights swivel to illuminate the curve is very helpful.
On the other hand, I am DELIGHTED they added the LED running lights. KIA, of all companies, has had them for years. The new RDX does not have them, and they are a $550 option on a Murano.
Mixed bag...I'd give up the power folding mirrors for the ALS.

Unless you will trade it in 2 or 3 years, buy the 2012. Buying the 2012 will save money in your total owning costs, if you own it for 4- 5 years or more, because it is the same vehicle with only minor differences in options. "That's just the way it is..."
