Poor dead horse can't rest in peace

Bottom line, anyone who needs to justify the 'premium' should not consider the 450h.

Better yet, take a really close look at a Highlander.

My shopping experience is that the dealers (Bay Area) that I visited stock about 2-3 times more 350's to 450h's. Moreover the 450h's tend to have been stuffed with more options which I didn't need (my guess is the dealers think people who are willing to pay more upfront have more money to spend). So in the end there are very few 450h that I could choose from, while I had plenty with 350 and used that to have the dealers bid against each other :-)

These are my thoughts about the RXh. If you are going to buy a RXh for its fuel efficiency and expect to save money over the gas version?, really......you should just buy a Prius V and save some money for gas and a nice vacation. The only reason I would buy the RXh is for the slight bump in power and knowing I bought the best version of the RX. Also that electric motor will give you 100% torque from zero rpms and this alone is worth the price premium. I would not buy this car to save gas. If i truly wanted to save gas i would have chosen 15 other cars that can fulfill that need. The RXh is an amazing car and i can only hope lexus can make it even better in the soon to be redesign.

I'm totally with you about the 100% torque thing, this feature is usually overlooked but to me it's one of if not the best advantage of electric drive trains.
