Default Duo dealer ownerships

I bought my car from Nalley Lexus and get warranty work there of course. I get routine service about two miles away at Nalley Toyota. Priceless
I'm curious about dual ownership of dealerships and how willing they are to service Lexus at their shops. Most if not all Lexus dealerships in Canada are owned by Toyota dealers and they are usually located side by side. I assume that those posters who use Toyota dealers for service live a fair distance from Lexus dealers. I've used a Toyota dealer for service once but I was 200km from the nearest Lexus dealer so there was no chance of a conflict of interest and they were happy to do the work.[/quote]

If Lexus and Toyota dealers are side by side in Canada, which side do you go to? I say that half joking/half serious BTW. There was a dealer like that down in south Florida when the parents went car shopping years ago. Mom made a beeline to the Lexus side and wound up getting an RX instead of a Toyota. Dad never did that again, LOL!

Same with Texas. We have so many to choose from.

the dealers are connected in the same building. Lexus side is more glamorous. When you go for service they have two doors side by side one with Lexus on it and one with Toyota. Lexus mechanics can work on Toyota's but not the other way around although the top 5 guys are both I think.

On the dealers site, check under Service Dept. tab for Service Specials or Coupons. Around here you can find discounts on various services and save a few bucks that way.

I have an offer from a nearby dealer for oil/filter change (synthetic extra) and tire rotation for $59 which I'll be using soon.

Looking at the prices, they don't seem too bad.

Yes, individual prices seem good especially like trans flush for $104 and coolant for $160. My Nissan dealer used to charge $199 for trans and $175 for coolant. I think as Anita said I will just pick services myself and not worry about their $270 Light service (w/o oil change). That's just too much.

...around here in NJ the only dealer so far that offers "special" on oil is Lexus of Englewood...the rest don't do much offering aside from tires, alarms, starters, etc...
