Is buying 2012 RX350 at invoice realistic? Is Edmunds Invoice close to correct?

I was hoping to get the 450h below invoice since the 2013s are almost here and we are near the end of the month, however dealers have mentioned that there is a lower supply of hybrid vehicles.
I paid $1500 under invoice on an RX350 AWD with Nav. My friend paid $2000 under invoice for the same car because they got an additional $500 off for customer loyalty (they have a GS too). Both cars purchased at Lexus Santa Monica at the end of December. Best time to buy.
