I was at the dealership yesterday checking out the new GS. I have to say I was impressed, if I could go back to a car that would be the one. I think Lexus is stepping up it's game, good. Talked to one of the salesman who has been there 9 yrs, omg, he said there are rumors of the '13 RX getting an 8 spd auto. Maybe that was for the F-sport? I guess we will all know when the RX is officially released.

Anyone know what month the 2012 RX was released? Assuming it will be around the same month for the 2013?

the 2012 was released back in late August early September 2011.

Is there a way to find out if 2013 rx has improved their usb ipod connectivity especially when it comes to SCROLLING playlists? Its insanely slow to scroll now and there are no options to search by alphabets. It will be great if they improved this feature on the new RX.

Anyone in Geneva with ipod in hand?

The change from the '10 to the '12 brought the elimination of the "auto select" when scrolling which was fabulous! I don't know how the '13 will differ.

If you're talking about the top song starting to play when scrolling, that was fixed with a firmware update in 2010.

Ok I get what you mean. But that does not really help much to improve scrolling speed. The auto-select glitch is so stupid and that I am certain Lexus engineers never test out their cars with USB ipods at all.

I have mix feelings with the bunper and grill.

Maybe its one of those things I have to see in person.

I'm very interested in what Lexus will do with the Lexus 450 RX (which should be released in a few years)

The heated stearing wheel, and some other gadgets would be nice but it won't be enough to put them over the top.

Do they increase the RX performance and handling, if they do, IMO they will be #1 in the mid luxary suv market. even if they don't add any more fun gadgets.

agreed and the 2013 will be outdated in 2 years when the 450 rx comes out.

just get what fits you. Its not worth trying to keep up with every new change.

3 year leases would have trouble keeping up with all the changes

You should contact a number of dealers and explore price if it is important to you. Many of us have gotten large discounts. It is best to shop around.

I live in Northern San Diego county and we have one of the nicest Lexus dealerships in the world at a cost of 35 million. A 5 star restaurant going in this summer! I will probably buy local and pay more and support it as I can afford to!!

Yes, I agree. My 2013 RX450h is on order with Lexus of Escondido. Great folks.

Best Lexus dealership period and Kenny L. is a great GM. I've bought many cars from him in the past 15 years..
