Want black rims for my birthday in two weeks!
 

I've contacted three stores in LA that sell OEM black chromes (PVD or Hexavanlent) exchange and I am wondering if an aftermarket one would be better, what do you think? Thanks.

I think those wheels look good on the white RX.

Thanks, there is one with all black but non-glossy. I want my wheels to be a bit shiny.

Someone around here got a sweet set of Vossen wheels that were black and looke very nice. I would check them out.

If you're going with discount tires, go to the shop, they have a catalog with more choices than the online selections.

you want them to be all black not with the silly outer rim being chrome or silver. I have come around to the black rim thing as long as they are done right. the rx would look great with the 7 spoke split bbs look and the convex [?] spokes

I agree they need to be all black, it looks like it has white sidewall tires on it with that lighter ring.

I have the 19" Chromes and love them. They are so easy to keep clean, not a lot of grooves etc for dirt to get into.

Post pics when you get them installed, which ever direction you go.

Don't agree in having it all black but to each his/her own. As long as the chrome is not too thick, it acts as an accent to the tire vs comparing it to a white side wall. Tires are already black, having a wheel that's all black is like wearing black socks and all black sneakers, you can't appreaciate the shoe's design/trim.

I've seen a gun metal wheel and I thought it looked good. Not overly shiny nor dull.

Ive seen a few 450h with all black wheels, totally changes the look of the car.. gotta say I like the aggressive look.

Not so into the black chrome.. had those on my M3.. I think that idea came about thinking of better ways to hide the brake dust from those soft BMW brake pads.

The nicest wheels that I have seen so far on the RX are the 19" wheels that come with the rim/tire upgrade on the 450h. They are not black, but I guess you could get them redone in black. Please post a picture if you end up getting the black wheels.
