Anyone else received this offer with your purchase? I just took mine in for the 5000 miles checkup. They didn't do much; no oil change, just rotated tires and made sure everything are in working order. Will get the full service at the 10000 miles mark including oil change for FREE.

I got the same offer too. I am at 4700 miles so will be in for the 5k service soon. My 'oil maintenance needed' indicator is already coming on when I turn on the car. Wonder, if I need an oil change this soon.

That's interesting that your light is on already. Hopefully they'll throw that in for you.

Uh, mine came on early too. I had the dealer get it off. Because of the new oil change schedule I thought it wasn't due for service. After 8 months I found out it was supposed to go in at 6. It was a free service. I thought the first 2 years were free.

The first two services have always been free. The change to synthetic is kinda throwing things off since the oil doesn't have to be changed every 5K/6 months. At least the first paying service is 15K/18 months and considered minor service. The oil change light can be turned off easily. It's in the DIY section of the manual. oil change reminder comes on every 5k but like kitlz said we only need to change the oil every 10k or every year
