Problem transferring contacts to 2011 RX350 with Droidx
I am trying to transfer contacts from my Droidx phone to the 2011 RX350.
I keep getting a "failed transfer" error. However, the Bluetooth connection works fine for dialing and audio.
Anyone have this problem? Is there a fix?
Please let me know. Thanks.

I couldn't transfer my contacts from my Droid to my '10 450h. My salesperson also tried a couple of times and she couldn't get the contacts to transfer either. It may be a design fault w/ android phones . . .

There's obviously an issue here. I am getting all of the other bluetooth features to function fine instead of the contacts transferring.
Perhaps someone knows a way to resolve this.

I thinks it depends on the file format of the contacts in the phonebook, if it is not compatible with the format in our NAVI system it will not transfer. This is similar to transferring contacts from 1 brand of cellfone to another when they have different file formats it would not transfer either.. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think it's Android issue... I was able to transfer from Samsung Captivate.

Was this recently ? I took possession in mid November, and my contacts from my Droid (1st gen) would not transfer. I haven't tried since, but it could be that recent software upgrades fixed the issue. Maybe a moot point, I have my eye on the Verizone iPhone . . .

If it is then go by the dealer and let them try. If it's listed as compatible and they can't do it then maybe they'll have a solution for you.

When the phone pops up with the request (PBAP I think), and you click on the request, it should ask you to give it permission. Once you tell the phone to allow it, it should transfer.

Our 2011 was purchased 10/10/2010 and the salesman said he would do it for us but he couldn't. My wife took it back for their service department to do an they couldn't either. I tried with no luck so I just put them all in manually. The phone is a two or three year old Samsung.
