Default Dirty RXs ;)

OK, so we all like to show off our RXs when they're nice and clean I thought now that winter is upon some of us, it'd be fun to post pictures when snow and salt have taken a toll. My favorite is from this past February after driving home from work in a storm that dumped somewhere around 30" of the white stuff over two days. Plenty of salt was used on the roads as you can see. He currently looks like the second picture at the moment - it's too cold to take a bath. Too bad, today is his first birthday.

David, I have to draw the line somewhere, 32 degrees with wind chill in the teens. Next storm is Tuesday so he'll only be clean for 48 hours if the salt dust doesn't cover him first.

Where are the pictures of your salt/snow covered obsidian RX? Yours definitely will show more than mine

I'm afraid I'm no match. Really been making an effort to keep it clean. It's a daily driver and often sits outside. Here's one from awhile ago. You win this round...

David, I don't know. That looks pretty dirty to me. Did the salt make it up to the door handles? That's how it was a few days after Christmas for me. I managed to get him washed last Sunday - it rained. But the salt is back after it snowed Friday, all of 2-3". The pattern is a storm every few days now. I'll be getting lots more pictures of him all filthy

I agree, for me that is filthy. The photo was taken just before I entered my favorite out-of-town car wash. That day I went through the auto wash to get the undercarriage sprayed.

I've started renting space in an abandoned car dealership. The building owner keeps it at 55 and there is a wash area. You would find it to be heaven.

We have snow coming, but nothing like you will get....enjoy!!

I'll try to take a photo today, my RX is filthy dirty. It has been a mess here in Toronto, we had a good amount of snow on Saturday so the roads were really messy. My RX is covered with salt and muck and it is a waste of time to clean it yet.

We've been under a vicious assault for the last 48 hours here in Dallas. As you can see in the pic this white stuff is piling up on my deck and it's 28 degrees!! At first I thought it was just slow rain as it fell but it turned out to be frozen water!!

I'll be forced to go out for supplies today, I'll decide later whether to call a cab or brave it in the 300. Sniff.

When you say the "white stuff is piling up", I thought it might be more like the condition of the snow piling up near Mammoth Lakes ski area in California, where this pic. was taken earlier this year.

That's it? I'll probably stay home Wednesday. I heard it'll be a good ole fashioned nor'easter for us. I don't need to take my RX skiing down the hills in the blinding snow. Which means he'll be dirty for a while longer. More pictures to come
