^^^Anita, Fire Agate for Kimberly, but easily mistaken for black!

Obsidian is the best color. You get a two for one deal. Silver Gray in the winter and black in the summer!

Oops, my bad. I'm sure Fire Agate is just as bad as Obsidian to keep clean.

VERY easily mistaken for obsidian! Unless it's sitting in direct sunlight, it is hard to notice that it's not black. Definitely not easy to keep clean.

As I'm sure Anita will attest, this is causing me great emotional stress....
It will have a personal relationship with a high pressure washer soon.

Literally, LOL! Just like sandpaper. The dust gets inside too. I was going to power wash the 450h before the heavy rain tomorrow. Maybe I'll drive through it instead.

Now I see. Thanks. It's not a common color by me.

During the winters I use a car wash. I actually love detailing my cars and trucks but I hate swirl marks.. Having mostly black trucks for way too long, I broke down a while back and learned how to use a DA polisher. I now in the spring give a quick clay baring and polish out the swirl marks. I usually only do this once a year and seal twice and wax a few times in between sealing. I have noticed how soft the paint is on these cars so I won't be working so hard to get the swirls out this spring. I use a three -four step method and it takes up a day but well worth it. So a trip through the automatic swirl machines don't bother me so bad now. It's easy to do and so rewarding for me. One thing I have learned with a black or dark casr is to stand 20' away when admiring the paint!

No, ma'am, it is not common which is exactly what I like about it. When I was looking to buy (Oklahoma City, Dallas, Ft. Worth areas), mine is the only one I could find in Fire Agate. We drove the four hours (should have been three but road construction and traffic are rampant in Texas) to buy her.

Matador Red Mica and Claret Mica are also not common though I saw the latter yesterday. Tungsten Pearl/Silver Lining and Starfire Pearl rule. But I'm ok with having a popular color. There's not too many 450hs by me, especially with LED headlights. I've only seen three in five years. Enjoy being different. BTW, I'm no longer a member of the dirty RX club

I do like those red colors - very pretty. I like the white pearl colors too. RX 350s are a dime a dozen around here but they're usually black, silver, or white (80%, I'd say). I don't believe I've seen another one in Fire Agate Pearl. Funny enough, the first time my SA saw mine he said "I bet they didn't make six of those."

Me either! Washed her last Saturday and ended up having to use detailing spray on the entire vehicle to make it look good but it looks very good now. (Just in time for more snow/rain, of course.)

Just saw this thread, I thought I'd share... Out on vacation, the car was under attack for 2 weeks. I had to claybar the next day

fasthuh, whatever is on the hood of your RX is gross! That's a whole different level of dirty. Hope you managed to get rid of it.

It was tough to clean out, the roof and the rear of the car was actually worst. Luckily I was able to clay bar the gunk off.
