Question 2010 RX 350 - Radio is haunted

Our radio recently started to turn on by itself, change channels and change modes. And before anyone asks, no we are not pressing the mode button on the steering wheel. There is no specific pattern...but it's happening. Has anyone seen anything like this before? The dealer was sympathetic, but without being able to reproduce in a consistent fashion, not much they can do. Thoughts?

Default Have Same Problem

I'm having the same problem in my 2010 RX that you describe. The dealer has ordered me a new radio which will be covered under the warranty.

Quality issues! What's next? Haunted brakes? Gas pedals?

Since it's under warranty, just get it fixed.

Did you ever get your problem resolved? If so, what did they find? My wife's car has started doing the same thing and we are 250 miles from the dealer. I would like to have some ideas before we drive 5 hours to the dealer.

My RX 350 radio is haunted as well, but by a different ghost. Radio is always on, if you move the volume ***, mode changes to AUX. Unable to change to CD mode. Everything started after SAT radio trial ended. A new radio has been ordered.

My radio was changed too because it could not accept the weather/traffic info from Sirius. The radios were supplied by them I was told.

My radio is arbitrarily switching between modes also. Will take it to the dealer soon!

I've about had my fill of Lexus automobiles.

My wife's 2010 RX350's radio is also doing the same thing. She took it to the dealer yesterday and they stated they could not find anything wrong with the unit.

Anyone that has had this issue and got it fixed from the dealer, please let me know what/how i should approach them to get this fixed. Starting to rethink about buying another lexus due to dealer's service dept.

Sounds like a quality control issue?

Can you elaborate further on the firmware update and the bluetooth.

Thanks
