Damn, looks like a high speed rock nailed the lens. 2010 RX350. Any discount parts houses you may know of? Anyone know the part number? Also, is it an easy replacement?

interesting. As cars move towards fogs made of glass, this seems to be a very common issue, not just with Lexus. There are numerous accounts on the MB forum with the C class in particular. What we do now is add a film on top of the glass, specifically, made my lamin-x. This gives the glass a little bit of extra protection. They probably have one for the RX, they are precut and you just place it on the lens

xpel, venture, tons of pre-cut. we have vendor aerotect who also sells a lot of pre-cut.

after fixing the lens, definitely put on protective film. my old acura tl-s fog was shattered too, but since then i put clear bra on all my cars, never had that problem again

good luck! maybe you can try sewell lexus and see how much they can do for you

Thanks for the info, I just ordered mine in the optic blue. Maybe that will close the color temp difference between the fogs and HID's without the cost of changing the bulb and offer protection at the same time

I thought about getting blue tinted but the day time look may be too blue for me.
Unlike most people,I never use the fogs for the look with night driving.I only use my fogs for rain and fog.So the color temp match isn't as important to me.

For the installation, you will have to remove the bumper to get to the back side of the fog lamp assembly. Once you're there it's just a screw and a couple tab guides holding it in place. In order, here's the steps:

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
4. REMOVE HOOD CENTER CUSHION
5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY

Driver side fog lamp (812200D042) - CL price 112.42
Passenger side lamp(812100D042) - CL price 112.42

You can use the Part Inquiry Form on our website to enter the part number to purchase should you need to do so. The fog lamp assembly does include a new bulb as well.

IT CERTAINLY DOES HELP. Thanks. I'm a little shocked that the entire bumper needs to be removed to do this (can't get to it from below????damn !). And I'm equally shocked that you must purchase the entire assembly to just change the glass. Wow.

haha well technically you will be changing the foglight, not the glass

but i wonder if there might be some other tricks to do it say by taking off the wheel, pull back the fender lining, and go from there

Are you kidding ??? It's that hard to change a bulb or lens ??? There has to be a better way to change a bulb which could be considered a maintenance item. The labor for what you described would be over the top.
