Exclamation 2010 RX Check AWD swstem, Check engine, slip indicator

Hello, while driving home the other night my 2010 RX350 check engine, check AWD system, and Slip indicator lights all came on at once. When I got home i used my OBD code reader and got code P0441. I then opened the hood and removed the engine covers to find a broken wire on some solenoid between the top of engine and the air intake. " I Attached some pictures" It looked like it was possibly chewed up from rodents. I fixed the wires and put everything back together stated the car and went for a test drive, the check engine, check AWD system and slip indicator lights were still on. One question I have is do I need to clear the check engine light with my code reader for it to go away OR do i have another problem?

Take it in somewhere to have it scanned for codes and checked out. It is likely something beyond your repair capabilities.

Well if you didn't have the driving symptoms, I would have said it is a loose gas cap. I remember on my 2012 I had same warning lights and it turned out to be the gas cap. There was no change in driveability in my circumstance.

Default Gas cap worked for me

My 2010 RX350 with 130,000 miles had the Check AWD lights come on suddenly while driving. I checked this forum and saw this thread. I went to the garage and unscrewed the gas cap and left it off for a few minutes. When I put it back on and started the car, no warning! I drove several hundred miles this weekend and the warning light has not come on again.

Thanks for this tip. You saved me a lot of time and aggravation.

Exclamation Check Engine, Trac Off and Check AWD System

Hello! I am hoping someone can give me some info.. Last night the check engine light came on on my 15 RX 350 --- in addition, the warning said TRAC OFF and CHECK AWD SYSTEM. This happened just a few minutes into my drive after the car has not been driven more several hours. I have 31k on the car.. it didn't seem to drive differently that I noticed.. Anyone know what this could be? Thx

Do not drive it. Get it inspected ASAP.
It may be under warranty. Call the dealer and if so, they will tow it for free.

If the vehicle is not under warranty, go buy a smart 12v battery charger and when you get home, put the charger on for 24 hours. Usually you get strange gremlins when the battery is not in good condition. And by that, it may still be good enough to start the engine but not good enough to maintain the right voltage for the myriad of sensors and ECUs to function properly.

if you have an OBDII scanner, plug it in and see what the error codes are, if any. If you don't have an OBDII scanner, the dealer should be able to do some diagnosis for you. Hopefully though, you are under warranty still.

Well, you have two brake warnings and CEL just to make it look scary.
Even as simple as dirty ABS sensor can trip this.
I'd start as other poster pointed out - check if you have any warranty left. Brakes, being safety, are sometimes extended.
otherwise, you need CAN BUS/ABS scanner to be able to read ABS/brake codes. Regular OBD2 scanner won't do it. Buy one at HFT and return it, unless you decide to keep it, they come handy.

Default AWD Prompt

Hello. I got into my care this morning and it won't start up. the lights and things inside start flashing, but the warning sign of Check AWD comes on the display.

It feels like the steering wheel and the gas pedal are locked. I have been reading the blogs and it sounds like it could be the battery or the gas cap not tight enough? Suggestions. I have a mechanic who I am waiting to hear back from as well.

Default AWD warning light

Guys,
While in normal traffic, we received the AWD warning light, check engine light and, of course, the amber exclamation light. I checked CB's 38 & 42 under the hood. Both OK. Any ideas???

You need to take it to a pro to check for codes and/or a bad battery etc.

Thanks clutchless. I recycled 3 cb's, and for whatever reason, the lights disappeared. I'll keep an eye on the situation as it will probably show up again.
