Welcome to CL! If you posted your question in the forum specific to your model, you'd get much more helpful responses. I'd move it there for you, except you didn't even identify what model you have, in your post or your profile. Car Chat is for general car topics, usually not Lexus-related.

AWD issue
Replaced under warranty.
No idea why an emissions sensor failed and caused the AWD System message to come on (as well as the engine light and trac control light). Thanks

I need a solution on the RX 350 2011 model
Good day guys ! Got No idea why the emissions sensor of my RX 350 2011 model failed and caused the AWD System message to come on (as well as the engine light and trac control light). Plz I would really appreciate if I could get to know how to resolve this . In Africa, there's no guarantee when it's fixed . What could be the fault n what do I do ? Thanks

If there isn't a shop that can read your codes around where you live, maybe you need to invest in a code reader. There are several you can buy that interface with your phone, all under $50.
Or just burn the Lexus and buy a 70 series Land Cruiser diesel with a mechanical fuel pump. You can fix those with a socket set and a monkey wrench, plus no electronics means they will still run after the electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear bomb goes over you.

Why would you create an entire separate thread to update everyone on the problem you posted in another thread?

Rx “check awd, Trac off”
Hi All, just purchased my first Lexus, a 2012 rx 350 with 91k miles from a local dealer. It’s my 3rd day of ownership and this evening when I started it up after work the check engine was on, with the messages check awd and Trac off flashing at me. I should say, it was parked outside and it was a balmy 5 degrees, but I was shocked to get these messages so soon after my purchase. Called the dealer and will bring it in tomorrow to get checked, but I’m wondering if this is a common occurrence, if weather could have anything to do with it, or is this all just horrible timing?

Hopefully just really cold weather and maybe a weak battery

That must have been it; I was just leaving to take it back into the dealer and have them check it, and the lights and warnings aren't coming back on. I did just put gas in it last night, so perhaps the fuel cap was not on tightly. It's frustrating--as I just got rid of my 05 Trailblazer which was notorious for the check engine light coming on for some faulty reason. You learn to ignore it, but that can bite you in the butt when something is truly wrong.

Welcome to CL and sorry about your issue, but the recent east coast extreme cold is creating many car problems.
Could be caused by a number of different things and it needs to be checked out by a professional repair facility such as the dealer. See this and try searching next time as it has been asked before https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...g-message.html

Is the Check Engine light also on? If Check Engine light is on, the AWD system will be automatically disengaged and the Check AWD System message will also be displayed. Most of the times, it's not the AWD that caused the Check Engine light to turn on. Have your car scanned for stored trouble codes ....
