Default About to buy 1st RX 350

We are about to buy our first RX 350 and are quoting prices from dealers in Raleigh and Durham. Looking to get a Starfire Pearl AWD w/ Nav.

- What is a good price for this? Lexus of Raleigh gave us a quote of $45,793 for a FWD w/Nav . I figure the AWD is about $2000 more.
- Is it worth to get an extended warranty? Searched this forum and found out that Troy at Greenfield is the best bet for a GX. Is this true also for a RX?
- Did anyone get a 1.99 or similar interest rate?? The stealer is quoting it to us at 5.45%!!

lots of websites like edmunds.com or carsdirect.com allow you to build the exact car you want, and gives you a figure you should aim for. It is based off other prices that were sold in your area.

That's true. I did go to Edmund's and try to build the car and do a TMV. However, I am finding out that between Edumunds, Lexus.com, and the stealer..there are different ways of defining your packages. On Edmund's, I have to individually select all the options. On Lexus.com, the give you Option A, B, or C. And at the stealer, it's a Comfort package, Premium package, etc. So I cannot come up with the list price of 47,153 when I go to Lexus.com or Edmunds.com

Seems decent but like $1K over invoice. You should do better.Do a options workup with your zip code on http://www.truecar.com/index.html.
I like that site the most for true dealers cost and work from there.

Try truecar.com or just stay with edmunds and put in other options you don't want to get as close as you can to your target list price number. The invoice will virtually be the same give or take the dollar difference you add getting to the list price.Figure if your a $100 over just deduct $85 from the invoice number.

no, I meant we have an offer from our local dealer for that vehicle with that price. we've been waiting for 2 months for them to order/build the thing. long story...in the "true/false" thread from a few weeks ago.

Was is new?! Dealer cost for what you described is 44089. If the dealer gives up all the 740 holdback, he still loses 1300 after taxes, tag and doc fee.

If a dealer has to go into his holdback, they won't be in business long.
