Default 5,000 mile service

what did you guys have done in the 5,000 service? i mean in the personalized setting wise?

all i can think of is to have them open up all the doors when i hit the unlock button once. instead of just the drivers door.

I will ask the dealer to program the power rear door by pressing the unlock button on top of the plate.

Instead of the rear door opening manually when you press the button on the back it will open automatically. You should be able to adjust all the doors opening with the FOB yourself, at least I know you can with the nav. Look in the vehicle settings.

Are you sure this is possible? I'm looking at the LPS list for the 2010 RX 350, and the "Programmable by Dealer Only" option 28 reads as follows:

When pressing the rear door button on the "electronic key":
Standard - The rear door opens = On
Optional - The rear door opens and all the doors unlock = Off

There is no dealer programmable option offered on their list that controls the exterior door switch. Unless any of you have heard or read otherwise, I wonder if this is possible. I certainly would like that feature as well, but there may be some obscure (safety?) reason why Lexus doesn't want us to have this.

It is possible as I have set mine myself to do just that. One push of the unlock button and all doors unlock.

I posted this before but it explains it all pretty good.

My bad, I thought you all meant for the power door to rise automatically when pressing the rear door's button on the car itself, not the FOB. But thanks for the pdf file. It's a much better one than the one they give us here in Canada.

You can have that done as well, the dealer does have to do that one.

Too much confusion.....
