On May 28 I ordered a Red with black interior RX350 from Bobby Rahal Lexus in central Pa. Put $1000 down and was told 4 to 5 months until delivery. Will be built in Japan because of options I ordered: Comfort Pack, Premium Audio For Nav, Heads Up Display, Luxury Package, Nav, 120v Connector, Remote Start, Side Mirror Cam, Pre Crash, Tow Prep, Cargo Mat & Wheel Locks. - $52011.00, Trading 07 RX350 ($250011.00 Trade) I was told delivery would be about 45 days after I get Build date but so far no build date. Is anyone else waiting this long for delivery?

Well I think I got screwed as I just missed the cut off date (Jun 20th?) for July production..

We ordered our RX Jun 25th and we got the confirmation that it is accepted and will be built as an Aug production.. Will wait a few weeks and bug the salesman :-)

I'm hoping that it is an early Aug build since we ordered it in Jun.

Interesting. I *did* make the June 20th order date. In mid July, my salesman confirmed my order was accepted.

So I assume it's a July build, so mid-September for arrival.

How long does it take to get a VIN? Once the build month is over, can I get a VIN?

I have my VIN and it's on the boat. Apparently the dealer can pull up information on the vehicle and see a number to correspond with its status. He only mentioned in transport or on the boat so I'm not sure how far back in the process they can go.

Sandi, I ordered and placed a deposit on my RX on July 18. I didn't order anything special which may explain the quick turnaround. But my dealer somehow gets what I want quickly, maybe because they're part of Penske.
