Just to review, incline parking.

Shift into Neutral.
Fully engage Parking Brake.
Release foot from brake pedal so that the entire two ton vehicle weight is on the parking brake.
Re-apply foot to the brake pedal so that you may easily shift into Park.

Exit the vehicle with the knowledge that the weight of the vehicle is on the parking brake, either up or down hill.

There is no pressure on your parking pawl, that small pice of metal no bigger than the tip of your thumb never intended to hold the vehicle on an incline.

When departing,
place foot on brake,
shifting into desired drive,
then release the parking brake.

There will be no BANG! with this sequence.

If you hear a BANG! you done screwed up.
