I've placed an order on a 2010 RX, ultra premium. None of the dealers in Ontario has them yet, so I've been told. They said 4-6 weeks, which gives me some time to make a decision on color.

Can anyone please post some pics of a Smoky Granite Mica and an Obsidian side by side? I particularly want to see them both indoors and outdoors.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They are both nice colores, but I really liked it in black when I saw them next to each other. Where in Ontario did you order your Rx? I am also looking to order one, but am not happy with my current dealer.

Yeah, I like the Obsidian, I think because it has a deeper, more formal look to it, but sporty at the same time, Thanks to the chrome trims.

I'm in Richmond Hill. The dealer seems nice and will be taking the RX there for service, but that's not where I'm ordering from.

IMO, I think that Brown Walnut is too red for me. Therefore, this leaves me only 7 color-combinations with Leather.

That's a smokey granite mica. I heard from somebody at a dealership that they may bring the black saphire pearl color for the RX to Canada in the next few months. Go on the U.S. Lexus website to see the color. This is the one I like best.

I was over at a dealership today and saw both the smoky granite and the obsidian, although they were in the underground garage so it was hard to see the colors. I love how the Obsidian is so formal looking, but on the other hand, I think the new RX design looks better in lighter colors cause you can see the sculpted shape and lines a bit better.

the rims gave it away... i think it's a hybrid... be aware that the hybrids have different color shades

given your choices, I'd go with obsidian... always thought luxury cars look better in classic colors: black, white, silver

Here in Canada, there are only 2 color differences between the hybrid and the 350, That's the different shades of white. The rest they share the same colors according to my brochure. The only color not offered here is the Black Sapphire Pearl.

Both Obsidian and Smoky Granite are available for both here and both colors are giving me a headache cause I can't decide between the two and there's not enough around for me to see them together in person.. aaargh!! lol

That photo is definitely of a hybrid, all of which now have the blue logo on the side under the passenger door. I believe the logo in the grill is also blue on the h models, and slightly larger than standard.
