Did anyone's Alternator go bad yet?
 

I have a 2014 RX350 Alternator made in Japan with 70k miles.
Wondering how long do these live for?
Did yours go out yet on your 3rd Gen? If so, when and how many miles

Well my 2015 RX350 alternator is still going strong with over 190k miles. However, I do keep my battery topped off with a battery charger when I do not drive my RX350 after a few days so my old alternator do not get over-worked trying to charge a weak battery.

Our 2010 made in Japan went out about 2 years ago at 160k miles thereabouts. Noticed a electrical smell one day after parking while idling, opened the hood and can see slight smoke from alternator. Voltage was basically batt voltage about 12v while running. No noise, so figured the diode pack/rectifier fried.

2015 RX350 approaching 114,000 miles. No issues with the factory alternator thus far. The vehicle was built in Canada.

yes,,I had to replace mine in Feb,,not sure if it was the original but the vehicle is approaching 280k ,,my guess is yours will last a while yet
