Default Will software update fix Bluetooth problem on 2015 RX?

Hello 3rd gen owners. I have a 2015 RX 350 that will not allow me to talk hands free over Bluetooth. I've posted on here before to no avail. In sum, I can play music and video from my iPhone 13 without issue, and can make and receive calls. I can hear callers clearly, BUT they cannot hear me. I've replaced the Bluetooth microphone, and have tweaked the volume on the system without success.

Lexus suggested a software update to the infotainment system, at a cost of approximately $125.

Has anyone had success fixing Bluetooth problems with a factory software update?

This has been asked before, although I am unsure if there was a solution. Do you have the latest software update on your phone? Have you tried disconnecting the car battery for 30 minutes?

Try this:
Check the Bluetooth in the iPhone. Under Settings open up the Bluetooth screen.
Find the banner that should say Lexus RX or perhaps Car Multimedia. If your phone
shows a banner that reads "Car Accessory System" it indicates a corrupt pairing.
Works but poorly. Delete the car from the phone and the phone from the car and repair.
Much more basic phone protocol - turn the phone fully off, dead, dark, cold at least once a week.

Also: Remove the Bluetooth pairing for your phone as an audio player, just Bluetooth your phone as a phone. It's possible that your phone is not liking the dual connection.

See this link which then links you to more similar threads that may help:

One thing to keep in mind that although the device is the phone, but there are two different connections [phone & audio-video].

You may like to clear/delete the existing connections and start again. You may even have to power down and restart the phone. My iPhone case broke and I even had to clear and re-install from cloud.

Things have been changing to rapidly with mobile devices, that tech support will insist that the firmware be the latest [they follow a cheat sheet and work of a flow].

Speaking of that, has anyone figured out a hack to the RX software so we can update without paying that ridiculous fee?
