The 2008-13 Toyota Highlander is a mechanical twin to the RX350 with regard to the engine and transmission. Here are links to the Toyota Nation Forum DIY for spark plug replacement.

Bump.
Apologies as I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but is there no DiY thread in ClubLexus for the replacement of the plugs and coils?
*On a 3rd Gen
I did a writeup on 450H [see sticky in hybrid]... not identical to 350 but a bit more complex. You can use it as a guide. There are plenty of videos on the net.
Although the plugs have recommended replacement interval, the coils do not need to be replaced till they go bad.
Buy OEM from on line Lexus/Toyota dealers [Spark plugs are one of the most copied items]

Here is a good video that explains how to change the spark plugs on an 2010-2015 RX350.
With first gen RX, few members confirmed that the plugs can be replaced without removing anything ... just need ratchet attachments and manual dexterity. So if anyone has managed to do the same for the 3rd gen please post.
If anyone plans to DIY with taking the cowl and intake off, keep in mind as you disassemble the intake, you will need gaskets too.
This is the kit I ordered. In my opinion, it's the best set, everything is made in Japan. It includes intake manifold gaskets, a throttle body gasket, a PCV valve, and spark plugs.
Optionally, you can add a valve cover gasket kit (gaskets, spark plug well seals, small O-rings).
I recommend Kibi. Made in Japan. OEM brand.
The left and right sides have different part numbers.
Where did you source these Kibi parts?
How did you determine they were the OEM supplier?
I am placing an order through Worldpack (to place an order, you need to contact the shop).
I work in a shop, repairing cars and ordering spare parts.
* Manufacturer: Kibi is the aftermarket brand of Uchiyama Manufacturing (UMC).
* OEM Status: UMC is an official assembly line supplier for Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Nissan.
* Documentation: The Kibi brand is listed in the catalog of SPK (a major Japanese distributor) under "National Brands."
* Visual Proof: Kibi gaskets often bear the same molding codes and materials as the Genuine (original) parts.
For example, the TAMA brand is an OEM supplier of cooling system sensors, radiator caps, and thermostats. I think you're already familiar with Aisin, Denso, Akebono, etc. I have extensive experience ordering parts from Japanese brands for Japanese cars, as well as for JDM (right-hand drive) vehicles, specifically those brands that supply parts to the assembly line. Therefore, there's no point in overpaying just for an original Toyota/Lexus box.

How much is "overpaying" for Toyota/Lexus box? lol Valve cover gaskets and spark plug tubes are so cheap as is OEM. Even with the 25% discount that Toyota Autoparts have going on

I didn't mean these specific parts. But if there's a chance to save a little money, I'll do it. Especially since I have free delivery in a couple of hours and no tax.
